Analyzing performance
The
qt_debugoption of the DataServer (-Dsrv) startup parameter (and theQUERY-TUNINGDEBUGphrase) instructs the DataServer to print information on the queries it generates to thedataserv.lglog file. Theqt_debugoption provides extended diagnostic capabilities that you can use to determine which parts of your application might be causing additional network traffic or processing by ORACLE. The syntax for theqt_debugoptions is as follows:
The default setting is for all debugging information to be turned off (
-qt_no_debug). Specifyqt_debug,optionto override theNO-DEBUGdefault. Table 6–7 lists the diagnostic capabilities ofqt_debug.Note: Turning on debugging options decreases DataServer performance. Be sure to turn off debugging options when running DataServer applications in production mode.
